What is COS Membership and what do I get if I join?

COS Membership is one of the most important aspects of our company. From Management Accountants to college students, our membership supports all levels. We aim to provide an environment through which bookkeepers can actively help and support one another. We have created a support group for both employed and self-employed bookkeepers, offering an opportunity to work with like-minded people. Membership comes with a whole host of special offers, services and opportunities which include:

  • Learning opportunities and training – some free, most subsidized
  • Access to the latest versions of Sage instant, Sage 50 payroll and accounts, Xero, and Sage Business Cloud Accounting (was Sage One)
  • Work contracts are obtained and offered to members. Although this cannot be guaranteed, many of our members enjoy the benefits of contracts being passed to them which keep them busy full-time.
  • Sage instant, Sage 50 and Xero support
  • Access to the VIP section of our website (Which is filled with exclusive codes, contacts, commission opportunities, and more)
  • Access to our private Facebook group
  • Exclusive Members’ Emails filled with tips, advice, webinar links and more.

Your obligations as a COS Member

We are a strong believer that what you put in you get back. We encourage our members to continually work on their professional development, as do we. Even at the highest level there is always more to learn. Our Directors spend many hours researching and furthering their knowledge so they can pass this onto others.

As a COS Member we ask that you:

  •  Adhere to the terms of your contract
  •  Maintain client confidentiality at all times
  •  Support other members of the COS team
  •  Commit to training and self-development

For those working through COS:

  •  You must keep up to date with Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and registration
  •  Ensure you are up to date with the latest version of Sage, Xero, Sage Business Cloud Accounting (was Sage One) and other software as advised from time to time.
  • Attend compulsory courses as offered by COS from time to time
