The bulletin contains useful information about PAYE processes and procedures including Budget announcements. To find out when the next issue is available – register to receive the email alert.

HMRC expenses and benefits from employment toolkit

This toolkit offers guidance to anyone running a payroll on completing employer’s end of year forms P9D, P11D and P11D (b).

Pension schemes – step by step guide for small businesses

A new step-by-step guide to help small businesses get ready for their automatic enrolment duties has been launched by The Pensions Regulator. The 11-step guide takes employers through the tasks they need to complete and includes the information they require to comply with the law. The online guide also contains information tailored for employers who run director-only companies.

New version of Company Tax Return form and supplementary pages

HMRC has introduced a new version of the Company Tax Return form (CT600 version 3), which must be used for accounting periods that start on or after 1 April 2015. In addition, a new computation taxonomy has been introduced for computations that accompany the new CT600 form.

Rules for all new self-employed Working Tax Credits (WTC) claimants

From 6 April 2015, all new claimants who use self-employed work to meet the qualifying remunerative work test for WTC. They must show that they are trading on a commercial basis and their business is done with a view to achieving profits. This brief provides further details on these changes

Important information for SA online filing – SA 302 online

SA 302-tax-calculation and tax year overviews can now be printed if Self Assessment tax returns are completed online.
